Ethical ticketing platform Ticketpass gives 50% of the fees it charges back to charity. We redesigned their brand and marketing website to highlight this unique proposition as well its’ feature rich ticketing platform for event organisers and attendees.


Ticketpass are on a mission to create a company that is truly ethical but is also an all encompassing platform for event organisers and attendees. Our brief was clear: modernise the brand, amplify its impact, and introduce a distinctive charitable element that would set it apart in a crowded market.

The ticketing space is highly competitive so even with the unique positioning, Vector had to develop a sophisticated and distinctive visual identity to make the brand stand out.

We introduced dynamic visuals that conveyed the energy of the core event types the platform serves – music and sport – using bold colours, shapes and striking imagery.

As Ticketpass’s chosen design partner we formed a single project team and over a series of workshops we looked at the target audience, reviewed the data, looked at the competition in order to establish an overall creative direction for the brand redesign.

Key deliverables during these ‘discovery’ and ‘define’ phases were:

The Ticketpass website has to appeal to both organisers and attendees with content explaining the range of features available on the platform for both as well as showcasing the events themselves.

This was as much an information architecture challenge as it was a design one – funneling users from either side of the marketplace to the content that best served them best from a single homepage.

The continued shift in user behaviour towards mobile meant the whole experience had to be super optimised for small screen viewing with progressive enhancements for desktop users where event organisers in particular would be viewing the website.

A design system for Digital and beyond

The brand needed to be versatile in it’s executions across a range of digital platforms including key social media channels which are a very important touchpoint for Ticketpass.

The brand needed to work OOH too with posters being a key awareness channel for their target audience.

Vector created a design system that would work for both scenarios and empowering Ticketpass’s internal marketing and design teams to design promotional assets as and when they needed them
